Surah An Nas (chapter 114) calligraphy on wood (beech) - vertical

This calligraphic panels reflects surah An Naas in vertical format contrary to article #1204 where the surah is displayed horizontally. Surah An Naas is the last surah of the Holy Quran and is frequently recited to offer protection against enemies and all kinds of evil in this word or the others as well that it can be recited for own healing or of the others. 

This surah is an invocation in which the believer is invoking Allah (swt) as his protector against the influence of the accursed Shaytan and his followers.The Islamic tradition teaches us that this chapter is also being used as a medicine in order to help the sick. In this last case this chapter is recited, preferably three times, by the one invoking for the healing to happen in order to consecutively blow his breath into his own hands and the rub the affected area or the other person in need.

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ - 114:1
مَلِكِ النَّاسِ -114:2
إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ - 114:3
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ - 114:4
الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ -114:5
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ -114:6

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, 114:1
The Sovereign of mankind. 114:2
The God of mankind, 114:3
From the evil of the retreating whisperer - 114:4
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - 114:5
From among the jinn and mankind." 114:6
