Ayat Al Kursi, surah Baqarah, calligraphy verse 2: 255 (Horizontal)

Ayat Al-Kursi is considered as among the most powerful verses of the Holy Quran and is usually recited with purposes of protection, safety and guidance from Allah (swt).

 

 

﷽

 

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ - 2:255

 

 

Allah! There is no God except He, the Living, the Everlasting. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what is before them, and what is behind them; and they cannot grasp any of His knowledge, except as He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not burden Him. He is the Most High, the Great. 2:255

 

The hadith narrations regarding this verse are numerous as well the virtues and benefits of reciting it that can be found in the narrations of any Islamic school of thoughts.

 

Another decorative panel is offered with Ayat Al-Kursi as article #124. Another significant part of the same chapter is the last two verses (285-286) of surah Al-Baqarah which are also referred to as "The peals of the Quran".
