    Extraordinary rice of A+ quality! SHIRAN 1121 Super Golden Sella Basmati rice is imported from Pakistan, which is one of the largest exporters of rice worldwide. The denomination "Sella" means that the rice is processed differently from normal white rice,  with the consequence that it has a higher content of fiber, calcium, potassium and vitamin B-6. Unlike "normal" white rice, pre-cooked "Sella" rice extracts nutrients, mainly thiamine, from the bran, making the cereals nutritionally comparable to brown rice. The main difference from the normal process is that the precooked rice is partially cooked with the bran and then dried again.

    Pre-cooked rice varieties are not only considered to be one of the healthier rice varieties, but the "1121" variant is also one of the longest rice grains in the world and has a length of more than three times the width and therefore behaves differently during the cooking process.

    An additional advantage is that, in addition to shorter cooking time, pre-cooked rice will remain firmer after it has been cooked and will also be less sticky.

    The Shiran brand is packed per 5 or 10 kilograms in (zipped) bags. The outer bag is made of cotton with plastic one the inside.
