This decorative wall panel contains the calligraphic reflection of the last two verses from surah Al-Baqarah which are considered among the pearls of the Holy Quran. These are the only verses from the Holy Quran that have been revealed by Allah (swt) directly to Prophet Muhammad (saws) as all the other verses have been revealed through Archangel Jibreel (as).
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, as did the believers. They all have believed in God, and His angels, and His Scriptures, and His messengers: “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord. To you is the destiny.” 2:285
God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. To its credit is what it earns, and against it is what it commits. “Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not burden us as You have burdened those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear; and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master, so help us against the disbelieving people.” 2:286
Surah Al-Baqarah is the second chapter of the Holy Quran but with its 286 verses it is the longest chapter of the Holy Book. Next to the verses 285-286 which are considered to be the "Pearls of the Quran" it also contains verse 255 known as Ayat Al-Kursi, which is considered among the most powerful verses to be found in the Holy Quran and the stories of different prophets such as Adam (as), Musa (as) and Ibrahim (as).NB: No translation of the Holy Quran can reflect the full debts of its original revelation in Arab and always has to be considered as one of sometimes multiple meanings or ways of translating that is possible when translated in any language.
